our purpose is the lead students to seek a LIFESTYLE of Intimacy with God

Where are we going as a student ministry?

What is our vision? What is the big picture?

The vision of the student ministry is the vision of RiverStone Church. We are running after the same vision that God has mandated for our church- “community transformation”. That is God’s heart for our church body, and that is what we want to be burning on our heart. We desire to see God transform our community, and we believe He is calling us to become a House of Prayer, House of Worship, Place of Development, People of Outreach, and a Center for Healing.

God is definitely on the move in a unique way in our student ministry. He is giving our students and leaders a burden to cry out for “Spiritual Awakening” in this generation. God is releasing a genuine hunger, passion, and brokenness for revival. We want a revival that will truly change our community. It is clear that God is raising up a generation of students who are very different-who are set apart for Him. He is also raising up youth groups that look different and are set apart for Him.

We believe that these set apart ones are being marked as “REVIVALISTS”. Revivalists are radical Christians who carry and release the presence and power of God into their community. Revival can be defined as the saints getting back to normal New Testament christianity. Our heart is to not just wait for “revival” to come to one of our meetings, but to equip the students to carry and release revival in their generation.

We believe that God is igniting a movement in this generation. God is raising up a generation that will be ignited in intimacy, prayer, and power. God is drawing students to a love relationship with Him first and foremost, then giving them a brokenness in the place of prayer, and finally sending them to release the full power of the Holy Spirit in our community. We really believe that our teenagers have the potential to be used by God to change the world.

This is a radical, intense, and bold vision for our students.

As a student ministry we desire to walk into the FULLNESS of what God is doing-We want everything God has for us. It would be a shame for us to to limit God to what we are comfortable with Him doing.

God has a dream on His heart for the students at Riverstone,

and we want to go after that dream with all our heart.
